Because of that they spend more than 90 min daily in front of a screen. This enhanced screen time can affect their eyes in more than one way. It is estimated that an average student spends about two hours on digital screens accessed via mobile, laptop or television.<\/p><p>The global pandemic has forced them to go with online option. To avoid this, parents should pay attention to the following:\n\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e68768e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e68768e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>Follow the 20:20:20 rule (Encourage your child to look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes)<\/li><li>Teach your child to blink often while studying online. If their eyes do not blink at least 15 to 20 times within a minute, there will be a lack of tears and the eyes will turn red.<\/li><li>Use very safe eye lubricants or artificial tears at least twice a day if both of the above do not work in practice.<\/li><li>It is mandatory to see an ophthalmologist every three months for preliminary tests.<\/li><li><strong>Schedule in some physical activity :<\/strong> Putting down the device or stepping away from the computer or television can help avoid eye and vision problems from too much screen time.<\/li><li><strong>Find ways to reduce glare from the computer screen:<\/strong> In addition to changing<br \/>screen angles, the glare from a computer screen can be minimised by<br \/>adjusting room lighting.<\/li><li><strong>Healthy diet:<\/strong> Consuming a diet rich in Vitamin A and C is very good for good<br \/>optical health.
